SalamaAT
Salamat comes from the Arabic word Salamaat meaning peace and used in greetings. It means thank you in many Philippine languages and in other South East Asian countries like Malayasia and Indonesia. Also spelled as Selamat. This snapback speaks to our Arabic cultural influence. The Bahbayin is a modern rendition of the A and T characters to make Salamaat (Salamat). The X under the last character is a virama (vowel killer).
